My name is Cara and I am the person behind Kawaii Klaws.

While I've taken pride in my nails since I started painting them bright colours throughout high school, my obsession with nail art was properly sparked during a trip to Tokyo in 2009. I got my first set of acrylic nails done at a salon in Shibuya109 (which I've kept consistently since) with lots of glitter and bling, as well as spending plenty of yen on super cute nail stickers, and I haven't looked back since.

It wasn't until 2014 when I was sick of working in soulless offices that I decided to take the plunge and learn how to do nails properly. I completed a certificate III in nail technology and Kawaii Klaws was born. For the first 18 months I did nails from home around my full time job before I got the opportunity to get a space in the Pastel Palace in November 2015 which I worked from full time for three years. I am now based back at home in Seventeen Mile Rocks where my two dogs Shiro and Midwich keep me company everyday! 

I'm a friendly, easy-going person and will always endeavour to make your experience at Kawaii Klaws as pleasant as possible. If you like to chat, I am great at discussing all things pop culture, travel, social justice, fashion and current affairs.
